Preschool Project

The sample book is in the mid stages of creation. I am up to four pages and a cover. It is just rough for now, I will make it pretty in the end. Julia is working on some story stuff and we will get the outline ready for Aron to work on a website soon.

Preschool Project: New Roles

With our problems now settled, we have set new goals. We are going to push forth in making the template for a really successful book, each of us sort of taking our original pieces of the project and blending them, like we would have if we had original trial material.

Christi will be creating sample dialogue, the calendar, and corresponding materials. She will also format the book and be responsible for the final outcome of the project.

Julia will still be responsible for pictures and their format in the book. She will also work with creating some possible scenarios/ story lines and maybe some games or projects for the group and child to do together.

Aron will work on creating a website format with title and template for future projects, as well as slide show and video capabilities and a spot for project team members to blog about their experiences.

All group members will work together to help each other finish their objectives.

All objectives will be complete and ready for review by Thursday, May 29th.

On The Road Again

So, we hit our roadblock and this is where we are at.

We don't have another child at so short a notice, so we are going to format the book and set project guidelines. We will leave space for pictures and include sample dialogue.

Preschool Project: Roadblock

We lost Ms. Seckar. I am trying to go back to plan A and use Quentin Spurlock, but it is such short notice. My new plan, if we cannot use Quentin, is to create a sample book and project format with guidelines and sample forms/ calendar/ outline that people can use in Mr. Bjerke's classes in the future.

We'll see.

Preschool Project- On It's Way

So, Julia talked to Ms. Seckar yesterday, and she said yes. We will be using her five year old child, and name and further details will be added at a later time.

I am going to email Ms. Seckar the information (including tentative schedule and rough outline) to get things rolling this week.

Yay!

Preschool Project- getting started

Julia is really slow. She still hasn't talked to Ms. Seckar, but she will do so today (or I will beat her up). We are confident though that she will say yes, so I feel comfortable making a tentative calendar for the completion of the project.

It goes as follows:

Saturday, April 26 - (morning) 1st meeting with child (and parent)
talk/ overview, picture

skip a weekend for prom

Saturday, May 10 - (morning) 2nd meeting, start formulating story,
draw a timeline, child pictures
Saturday, May 17 - (morning) final meeting before book presentation,
re-enacting stories, final stories/ memories
Saturday, May 31 - (morning) book presentation/ explanation with child

march 19

My group for the Preschool Project will include:

Christi C as Primary Member: Responsible for talking and interacting with the child, gathering information and compiling book. I will also do a final essay (thesis-style) and journaling throughout the process. I will be in charge of compiling the final project.

Aron C-B as Videographer: Responsible for recording (taking video) of sessions with the child, editing content for final project, adding to journals of primary member any observations he may have from the experience. He will help with final product and in charge of posting to the website. He will do a short essay at the close of project that compiles his experiences and what he has learned through the process.

Julia T as Recorder: Responsible for taking still images during sessions and activities. Will also record what happened during the sessions and compile a report (like minutes) of each that can be used later to create the book and final project. Will help with the book and write a short essay at the close of project that compiles her experiences and what she has learned through the process.

Answer any questions the parent might have.

comfortable, explain sort-of what you are doing.

3. 1st Meeting with Child:

4. 2nd Meeting with Child:

(Pictures, document, record)

-Talk about last meeting

5. 3rd Meeting with Child:

7. Review it with the Child (also according to Bjerke’s plan).

8. Create a final summary/ thesis type essay and make an interactive (web-ready) copy of

Today I spent most of the day on project rungay, critiquing project runway fashions because i am a big dorky loser. duh.

I love Project RunGay and TLo, and I am pretty sure you would to. Their runway blog is www.projectrungay.blogspot.com , and it has a link to their TLo blog.
